Sota7 Creatures List and Field Guide Hub
Field guide hub for the creatures of Sota7 in Honeycomb: The World Beyond — which fauna are friendly, which attack, and how creature research and crossbreeding work.
What creatures live on Sota7?
Sota7 is home to a “kaleidoscope of life forms” — some tolerate your presence, some mimic you, and some attack on sight. Pre-release footage and developer teasers show goat-and-meerkat-like quadrupeds with long arched tails that copy your behaviour, a shaggy horned creature that stays harmless unless you cross its territory, and a “Green Naga” teased as one of the world’s deeper secrets.
How creature research works
Scanning is your first step: point your tools at any animal to log it in the Sota7 registry and learn whether it is friendly, skittish, or hostile. Feeding animals opens new behaviour options, and as an EON-certified bioengineer you can manipulate animal DNA to trigger physical changes and, later, splice genetics across species. Dangerous creatures are handled with a tranquilizer weapon, not lethal force — there is no combat or killing in Honeycomb.
Which species have their own pages?
Individual creature profiles are live, starting with all eleven species documented in the official SOTA7 Field Survey logs: the Valley’s Lucuma Camilla, Wild Green Zuma, Gum Nibis, and Scorchweaver; the Headlands’ Imperial Strider, Bronze Wox, Woodback Tortoise, and Flux Beetle; and the Pass’s Azurite Lonebid, Thessalika Nango, and Skittertail. Two launch-window names now have profiles built from community reports: the Canul, the wolf-like nest species behind the fertilizer recipe, and the Zhalo, the family with its own tracker and a tree that resembles the lonebid tree. The full index below updates automatically as more profiles land. Every profile carries its last-checked date. Beyond the profiles, the taming & nests guide covers the animal-materials loop — tame during the story, build a nest, collect what its residents produce.
